Let me ask you something...

If you were just one step away from reaching your goal of flooding your life with wealth, would you take that step?

How do you know, right now, that you're not?

What a shame it would be to stop making the effort, when just a little bit more would make it all worthwhile.

What a shame it would be to have taken all those steps, only to miss this very last one.

This next step you take may very well be the one that makes all the others count. So many people quit before taking the last step not realizing how close they actually were.

You owe it to yourself, and the efforts you've made so far, to take that step.

A primary reason for lack of motivation is that to make the necessary changes that are conducive to success seem too difficult.

It is much easier to be a "watcher," to sit back, stagnant, doing nothing while you groan and gripe about how terrible everything is and how tired you are of your current situation.

But the only reason that remaining static seems easier is because it is what you have become accustomed to doing. The fact of the matter is that you are already working to remain where you are currently.

Do you find it easy to ignore the desire to accomplish more in your life? Do you find it easy to hold yourself back from achieving your goals?

If so, you are keeping yourself in limbo. Momentum wants to pull you forward, where there is more for you, but your fears and doubts pull you backward and hold you down. It takes a great deal of internal strength, perseverance and endurance to remain balanced between such powerful forces.

It stands to reason that if you are working so hard to stay where you are, all it takes is a simple shift of focus to redirect your energies and move forward.

But how can that be done?

It may seem scary, like a huge leap from where you are to where you want to be; but it helps if you are able to identify the one thing that stands between you and your ability to reach for more.

While this hindrance is different for everyone, but there are some common reasons. Perhaps you can pinpoint your barrier to success and begin to make some changes in your life.

Fear

You may have convinced yourself that something bad will happen if you begin to pursue your goals or dreams. You may have a feeling of impending doom and gloom, certain that you will somehow fail. You do not want to experience failure, so you choose to do nothing at all.

Try putting your fear into perspective. What is worse, taking a chance and risking failure or never trying at all and facing the prospect of never moving beyond where you are now. When you analyze it in this manner, you can easily see that fear is an enemy of the mind that will always keep you down.

It may seem overwhelming at times but it is insignificant when you look at the big picture. You may stumble at times; you may ever fail now and again, but that is how you learn and grow. You only fail if you fail to get up and try again.

Doubt

Doubt is sneaky. It creeps in when you least expect it and undermines your confidence and momentum. It will cause you to question your abilities to overcome challenges and create the life that you want. You may even begin to doubt your ability to even identify the path that is right for you.

You will never know until you try. If you want to make positive changes in your life then you have to be willing to believe in yourself - even if it is just a tiny bit.

You must have faith that even if you don't get it right at first, you can work to develop the skills and abilities that you need to achieve the things that you want in life.

No one is born with all the skills necessary to get the things that they want from life. Those skills must be developed and honed. Start small, taking baby steps, and you can have the life that you want.

Laziness

Everyone feels lazy at times. Sometimes it is much more pleasant to take the easy way out. True, it is tempting to sit in front of the television or computer because you don’t have to think too hard or work too hard for that matter.

You can just "veg out" and never have to face your fears or overcome any challenges. The unfortunate part of this is that it is easy to do, but a difficult behavior to change.

The truth of the matter is that you can have some "down time," some periods of laziness; but you can also excel and achieve all you want from your life. The key is balance.

Do not deny yourself the activities that you enjoy. You need to have fun and relax. You need a social life and down time to recharge. But you need more than that.

You need to know the feeling of pride and accomplishment in what you do. You need a balance, a contrast of working hard followed by rewarding yourself with playing hard and resting easy.

So, what is the barrier that is keeping you from having the things in life that you want? Is it fear, doubt, laziness or is it something else? Once you identify your personal obstacles and take the necessary steps to get past them, you can achieve the things that you want.

Stop working hard at maintaining your mediocrity. If you are going to work hard, direct that energy to working hard at success and the life that you want - and that you deserve.

"The future lies before you, like paths of pure white snow. Be careful how you tread it, for every step will show." - Author Unknown

If you've ever been tempted to do something unsavory in order to get ahead in life, you may have wondered whether it would be worth it or not.

Perhaps you were tempted to take a shortcut that would detract from your quality of work just so you could churn out greater volume and make more money.

Or maybe you were hoping to cheat your way to the top of your field because you've seen others getting away with it and figured, "Why should I do all the hard work if they don't have to?"

You may think it doesn't matter how you reach your destination as long as you get there, but you may be surprised to know that every step you take on your journey will have an effect on your outcome – and your character.

That's because the caliber of your person is what will determine the quality of results you get, and your ability to enjoy those results when they show up.

Other people may never know that you cheated your way to success, but you'll know. And the universe will know. "So what?" you might be thinking now.

Maybe nothing bad will happen if you follow this type of path. Or maybe the people you interact with will sense that you are not genuine and decide to work with someone else.

Maybe your customers will sense that something isn't quite right with you and your products or services. Maybe your own conscience won't be able to rest because of your past actions and you’ll end up making grave errors in judgment at some time in the future.

The way it all comes about doesn't really matter – but the experiences you get in life will be dependent upon your intentions as you create them. The truth has a way of making itself known, and it’s amazing how creatively it sometimes does so. Every shady step you take will detract from your character and set you up for a negative consequence later.

If you instead make it your priority to do what's right, you'll get right results. Focus on being the person who deserves the level of success you desire, and you will achieve that level of success easily.

If your life seems to be weighed down by heavy energy and your motivation to do something meaningful has taken a nosedive – get moving! Inertia is like a virus that devours your joy, inspiration, and focus, leaving stagnation and dullness in its wake.

You end up feeling sluggish and scattered, knowing you're not happy with your life circumstances but unclear what to do about them. The best weapon to clear away stagnation is simply: ACTION.

It doesn't even matter what type of action you take. The important thing is to get some positive energy flowing through your life again. If you're feeling confused and oppressed in your home, start clearing out your cabinets and closets.

Toss out old junk you no longer need. Better organize what you want to keep. If your body is feeling unbalanced or sluggish, start exercising immediately. Take a walk, do some yoga, stretch, drink plenty of water.

These actions will get positive energy flowing through your body again and you'll quickly feel a surge of clarity and motivation. Do the same with all other areas of your life: financial, emotional, spiritual, physical, mental. Clear away what you don't need and take action to bring in more of what you want.

The problem with inertia is that it's infectious. It may start in one area of your life and quickly begin spreading to others if you don't take action to stop it.

If you ignore it long enough, it takes over and leaves an empty shell where your life used to be. It may seem difficult to climb out of a pit of inertia, and indeed it is – at the beginning.

However, taking one small action can provide the strength and will to take another, and yet another. The more you stay in action, the easier it is to stay in action. Before long, the stagnation is gone and you’re feeling much more purposeful again.

If you're trying to use the Law of Attraction to bring more money into your life, make sure that you take some time look at what you believe about money.

It's possible that one of your beliefs might be getting in the way of your success. Of course, beliefs don't work by themselves.

They determine what actions you take, and that determines your results. Belief behaves as a powerful, silent message to the universe around us.

It's like sending a message that tells the world what it is that you want to have in your life. Actions based on your beliefs then solidify the likelihood that you’ll get what you believe.

It is possible that while you desperately desire to have more money, you're also resisting it on a lower level, because of something you believe. Consider some of these common beliefs that keep people from succeeding.

It's necessary to work hard if you want to get money.

A lot of people have been raised to think that hard work is the only way to succeed. This means that we're used to every penny being a struggle.

The idea of getting something for less effort causes us to push away opportunities we could have exploited to our profit. If you feel like this is one of your beliefs, the first thing you should do is work to change your feeling that money only comes via hard work.

Try to develop a more optimistic way of thinking, and teach yourself that good things can also happen if you expect them and take advantage of them, not just if you work hard.

You don't deserve to be rich.

An underlying lack of confidence and worth will tell the universe that you don’t want the abundance it's offering. You'll find yourself insisting that other people need it more, and feel guilt if you think seriously about accepting money or other wealth. To conquer this belief, you must learn to love yourself and feel that you deserve to do well in life.

There's only so much wealth in the world.

We usually acquire this belief from our parents, who say things like "Do you think that money grows on trees?" Throughout our lives, we learn to see a deficit over abundance, which assures that we will lack money over the course of the years.

If you want to change this belief, focus on all the abundance the world has to offer. There are many famous and wealthy people who have managed to acquire wealth and abundance in their lives.

If you stop focusing on what you lack, and recognize the abundance you could be achieving, you'll see that there are plenty of resources available for everyone. Of course, these are just some of the beliefs that can keep you from achieving the abundance you seek.

If you're interested in bringing more money into your life, consider what you believe about money. Pay attention to these beliefs and start changing them, and you'll be able to take actions that will help your desire for abundance become reality.

"If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door." - Milton Berle

Are you still expecting chance to come knocking on your door? Do you even have a door? Once we are born, all of us receives limitless doors that we can walk through. These "doors" are a symbolic representation for the many possible pathways we can journey throughout our lifespan.

We might not apply all of them, but they're there whenever we choose we would like to. Nonetheless, during the course of our lifetimes, a lot of us get scared by what might be milling around behind those doors.

We have not opened them to peek since we are certain it must be something scary – so we lock away the door tight, board it up, and stuff heavy pieces of furniture in front of it. Even if chance DID knock, we would not be able to detect the door, not to mention open it up.

If you would like to convert your life into something miraculous, begin constructing doors like mad! You can either clear the ones you have barricaded in the past, or snap up a saw, a few nails and a hammer and begin constructing fresh ones!

Rather than expecting chances to come to you, go to them. Stop expecting the right opportunity to drift past; leap up and snatch one you want! Did you know that one of the definitions of opportunity is, "a chance for advancement?"

It does not have to be something mind-bending or a once in a lifetime chance – just a chance! Consider where you're at right now, work out where you would wish to go next, and begin proceeding in that way!

That is all that is involved to construct a door!

Simply be active about inviting more chances into your lifetime. All it takes to create a major opportunity is: an open mind, an open heart, an upbeat mental attitude, and the willingness to take action.

Once you start to do this regularly, you can't NOT draw in opportunities. A few of them may be little chances; a few might be amazing chances that hardly any folks get to go through.

Snatch hold of the ones that cause your heart to pump in exhilaration and make the best of them. Someday, you will review and understand that you're no longer representing a victim character, and alternatively have become a door-builder extraordinaire!

If an individual experiences issues with their self-confidence, they will continuously struggle with virtually all areas of their lives. Lacking the confidence that you should normally have can hold you back in numerous ways.

When a person has the self-confidence that is required to succeed, they may find that they perform well at work, engage in only healthy relationships with others, and feel good about themselves and their skills and abilities.

Self-confidence is the key that unlocks the door of power that is within each and every one of us. Here, you will find a number of simple solutions for boosting self-confidence when you looking to improve yourself.

It is important to understand the simple concept behind self-confidence so that you can understand how to create an effective way of improving it. Confidence in yourself is nothing more than simply the ability to believe that you are important, and that you offer value to yourself, the lives of others, and the world around you.

While we are all born with this ability, many of us lose it somewhere along the way due to various experiences, challenges, and situations that we have endured. Many of these experiences have left us doubting ourselves, our abilities, our talents, our skills, and whether we truly have something to offer to the world.

The first method that you can use to increase your self-confidence is convincing yourself that you are a person that is wonderful in every single way. You should lead yourself to believe that you have the ability to offer things to yourself, others, and the world before you attempt to convince anyone else of these things.

This step is simply a matter of reverse psychology – to your own mentality. While that may be a difficult concept to understand, the fact that you are simply trying to convince yourself is an easier method of understanding.

In order to convince yourself that you are self-confident, you must work diligently to remain as secure as possible in every situation that you face.

You will come across many challenges in life that is for certain, however, instead of trying to develop excuses on how to get out of these things you should face the challenge head on and tackle it to the best of your ability.

It is important to think in an optimistic manner, perform in a positive way, and keep a productive and positive outlook on life. If you are able to do this, you are sure to acquire the self-confidence that you are seeking.

The next method that you can use to increase your self-confidence is to outline all of the good qualities that you have. Many people find this task quite overwhelming. This is especially true of those that often find themselves thinking in a negative way.

However, if you sit and really consider the many ways that you contribute in a positive way, you may find yourself surprised at how many qualities that you have that you can be proud of.

If you find that you are having a hard time developing this list of unique qualities, you may enlist the assistance of a friend or relative to help you. This can also provide an excellent boost as far as your self confidence is concerned.

It is important to understand that each of us are progressing in our growth on a daily basis. There is no perfect person, and their never will be a perfect person.

However, with some diligence and practice in the affirmative, we can come as close to perfection as we want to be. This is an ability that each of us has, and it should start with a high level of self-confidence.

Is great abundance something you believe that you deserve? Do you think that it is possible to have it in your life? Will your life be much more rewarding and worthwhile if it contains a certain amount of abundance?

Most of us would like to believe that we deserve great abundance in our lives, but at the same time there is always that irritating little voice in the back of our minds that taunt us, delivering messages such as:

...stop kidding yourself. You are not meant to be wealthy and happy. You know that you are not one of the lucky ones. Just accept it and let it go. You are meant to only live a mediocre life. Just accept it.

This little voice has to be dealt with and the sooner the better.

This little voice is usually the outcome of early programming and negative reinforcement that we experience throughout difficult times in our lives.

It is difficult enough to handle this negative voice which takes up residence in our minds in the first instance, but a greater problem is that we begin to believe the messages that it delivers!

Which effectively results in us interfering with any efforts that could be made in order to make our lives more abundant.

This may sound very familiar. This is probably because you are blocking abundance from entering your life. Dissolving these inner blockages may take some time and effort on your part, but be assured that the results will be well worth it.

So before we enter into the relevant steps for achieving that, it is necessary that these three things about this negative voice are kept in mind:

The voice is repeating things that some people may have said to you in the past.

It is also repeating certain things you have said to yourself in the past.

The important thing to remember is that you do not have to believe these things if you don't want to!

Listed below are some examples of how to change that negative voice into a positive, supporting voice:

Begin Speaking Kindly And Lovingly To Yourself

It is vital that you remember that, the little voice that is living in your head will continue to repeat the things that you constantly tell it.

In the past you may have been hard on yourself for something that you have failed to accomplish, or if you didn’t undertake particular goals that you set yourself.

Recording over that negative voice with a certain amount of positive messages is very simple. All you need to do is continue speaking kindly and lovingly to yourself as often as possible! In time, the tone of that mental voice will begin to change.

Celebrate Your Achievements

If you believe that nothing you undertake or do in life is ever good enough, then it is necessary that you begin to make it a priority to celebrate everything that you achieve.

Even the smallest accomplishment should be celebrated in some way. Give yourself a pat on the back, congratulate yourself, and most importantly feel good about who you are and what you do.

Be determined to be better at the things you undertake, but also give yourself credit, not only for achieving certain things, but for trying in the first instance.

Believe That Abundance Is Your Birthright

You must always insist that you deserve an abundant, happy life. Expect abundance and goodness in all varieties.

Say things to yourself repeatedly, for example, 'that you know that you are meant to live a powerful life and that you believe that you have the strength and ability to make your life into anything that you desire.'

If you know that you deserve abundance, then you need to always expect it, and allow yourself to open up to abundance and you will receive it.

Therefore, remember that it will probably take some time to notice obvious results. Continue to follow these steps as often as possible, and before too long you will find yourself feeling lighter and happier, and attracting ever-increasing amounts of abundance into your life.

It is the greatest way to feel special and worthwhile and everyone deserves a certain amount of abundance in their lives.

"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anyone else expects of you. Never excuse yourself." - Henry Ward Beecher

Why is that we are so good at demanding the best from others, yet when it comes to ourselves we always give ourselves more slack?

We allow excuses to take over our lives and hold us back. We then use those same excuses to explain why we haven't been able to achieve the success that we desire.

It's not surprising that we try to go a little easier on ourselves since we already feel pressured and overwhelmed by our obligations and the expectations of others.

However, while the demands of life can deplete our resources, demanding more from ourselves can actually add more to who we are.

The harder we work on ourselves, and the more excellence we demand from our actions, the more focused we will be and the better people we will be because of it.

Demanding the best from ourselves is not the same as expecting perfection or never being satisfied with our progress. It's not about being unreasonable with ourselves or trying to push ourselves beyond our true capabilities.

Demanding the best from ourselves is about being honest about our capabilities, about learning how to stretch our limits and refusing to buy into excuses that limit our true potential.

It's about recognizing our strengths, honoring our accomplishments, and always striving for greater success in all areas of our lives.

Today, take a look at your own accomplishments, and assess your true strengths. Have you been pushing yourself as hard as you can? Or have you been slacking off because it seems like too much work to step out of your comfort zones?

Have you been drifting aimlessly along, resting on your laurels, rather than striving for bigger dreams?

If you are honest with yourself, you may realize that you have not been pushing yourself as hard as you could, and therefore you haven’t accomplished as much as you are truly capable of.

Changing this is as simple as demanding the best from yourself, beginning right now. When you demand the best from yourself in everything you do, you’ll soon realize that your results will be nothing but the best.
