Wow, Stephanie what an awesome comment. You are right I did not bring up kids in this post, but you are 100% on the mark. Praising our children and showering them with positive affirmations will do wonders for their beliefs and confidence. I am a loving father of four myself so I know all to well the importance of this. I am constantly telling my kids that they are "filled with greatness", then every time they have a "big event" of some sort, I tell them, "now go show them your greatness!" I was actually planning on adding a parenting section to my blog and this sounds like a great topic to start with. Thanks for stopping by my blog Stephanie, I do hope that you will share your wonderful insights with us again soon. ;)

I think you are very right, but I feel you left out something. Not necessarily about self improvement, but creating a pattern/routine that would help future generations. Feeling good about yourself starts when you are a child. I feel parents should tell their kids positive affirmations on a regular basis. This installs the pattern of telling themselves positive affirmations. If you tell them they are great, they will feel great, and they will be great. It's just my opinion, and I do not have the education and/or the facts to prove my opinion. I just do not feel parents tell their children enough positive affirmations. They also do not tell their kids how much they are loved. Being a parent, time escapes very quickly, but I always take moments out of the day to look my kids eye to eye and tell them how proud of them I am and how much I love them.
